NBI Says City Hall Employees Among ‘Patrons’ of Raided Drug Den

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) 7 yesterday revealed that employees of the Cebu City government were among the patrons of a clandestine drug den located just a few steps away from the City Hall.

NBI 7 agent Arnel Pura told reporters that he received information that City Hall employees usually come to the drug den during pay days. Pura, however, did not provide further details.

Elements of the NBI 7 swooped into the drug den, which was located in the interior portion of D. Jakosalem Street, barangay Ermita, just across the Cebu City Hall, Wednesday morning.

The raid was launched following a month-long surveillance on the alleged operators of the illegal drug den.

Arrested during the raid were live-in partners Gladys Entoma, 20, and Christopher Hinugos, 19. Another subject of the raid, identified as Lola Inday, was not around when the operation occurred.

The NBI personnel were still conducting inventory of the seized drugs as of this posting. – CebuHeadlines.com
