Thirty-four-year-old Rolando Ybañez, the main suspect in the shooting to death of a fast food worker in Barangay Carreta Wednesday afternoon, has surrendered to the police early dawn today.

Ybañez, a welder, admitted that he shot Crisanto Amoranto, 21, while the victim was waiting for a jeepney ride around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The suspect said he harbored personal grudge against the victim because of an incident two months ago, when Amoranto allegedly hit him in the head.

Police investigation showed that Amoranto was shot dead after he helped stopped a snatching attempt a day earlier. The snatching occured on the same place where Amoranto was killed.

Ybañez surrendered to the Parian Police Station early dawn today. –
